Handshake revisted....
“If That Wasn’t My Husband…'

UPDATE: I Went Back to the Scene of the Handshake (and Lived to Tell About It 😅)
Based on a true story—again. Names, facial expressions, and my internal commentary have been edited to protect the spiritually flustered.
So…
This week, I had to go back to the place where “The Handshake” happened. Yes, that handshake. The one that threw my nervous system into a revival meeting. The one that had me crying in the car and spiraling for days. The one that reminded me that joy and attraction are still very much alive in my body.
And y’all… I smiled.
I let myself remember the moment for what it was: holy, human, funny, and way too intense for someone I only talked to about singing bowls. 🤷🏽♀️
Did I blush remembering I called him “hot” in my head?
Yes.
Did I laugh out loud about it?
Also yes.
Because now, I say this with zero bitterness:
If that moment wasn’t meant for me, then I can’t wait to see the man who is.
Like… if that was just a preview of what’s possible, then my future husband must be 🔥🔥🔥
Kind. Successful. Sweet. Talented. Anchored in God.
And he’s not intimidated by my calling or my joy—he’s drawn to it.
That shift right there? That’s growth.
A few weeks ago, I felt consumed. Confused. Frustrated that one small interaction could undo a year’s worth of peace. But God reminded me—I’m not backtracking. I’m refining.
And now I’m letting Him guide everything:
My thoughts, my desires, my emotions, my energy, my expectations.
If it’s not from Him, I don’t want it.
If it is from Him, I won’t have to chase it.
So today, I’m good. Really.
No more spirals.
No more fantasy montages in my head.
No more wondering if I “missed it.”
I didn’t miss anything.
If God allowed that moment, it had purpose.
Even if that purpose was just to show me what waking up to joy and desire again looks like.
And I’ll take that any day.
Here’s to more peace.
More clarity.
And the finest husband God’s got on reserve. 😌🙏🏽🔥

“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”
This shows that God’s spoken word, pure vibration, brought the first light (i.e. color) into being.
